Valentine's Day Mantel

Let's just jump right in with one of my favorite things ever...a holiday decorated mantel! I try so hard to keep up with my mantel for each season. I love changing it out and coming up with new ideas. I am really digging gold right now and of course, I am always down for more white. So I threw this little diddy up. What do you think?

I love the light and simple look. I totally look forward to this holiday each year so that I can pull out those little LOVE dishes. I bought them when we got married to fill with candies on our snack table. I think they came off of the knot website at the time.

The aqua back drop is old pallet boards that my handy hubs nailed together and I dry brushed on some color. I love this thing. It has so much character, and I love all the flaws.

The gold frame is just a goodwill find spray painted gold. The print inside is actually the back of another picture and I just grabbed a sharpie and free-handed that bad boy. Don't look too closely.

The candlesticks are also from goodwill and spray painted. The heart garland was made for me by my mother in law. They are just little crocheted hearts on a piece of yarn.

The pom garland in the front is one that I made for my Christmas tree. I literally took a piece of thread and needle, two packages of pom poms from Hobby Lobby and strung them on.

Obviously, since Valentines is over this is already outdated. I will be switching it up for Spring very soon!! Thanks for stopping by!
